If you’re making plans to attend the 77th Anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August, make sure you put a visit to the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame on your itinerary. Located on the corner of Main & Junction Streets in downtown Sturgis, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame offers comprehensive and informative exhibits. The museum showcases two levels of unique and remarkable motorcycles dating back to the early 1900s. On display are a huge selection of American and metric bikes along with a wide variety of exhibits, photographs, memorabilia and Sturgis Motorcycle Rally history. A gift shop offers items ranging from motorcycle patches to rally-related merchandise to books. The museum is open year round, seven days a week. Motorcycles and exhibits are changed on a regular basis offering repeat visitors something fresh and new each time they stop in. For information, call 605-347-2001 or visit www.sturgismuseum.com.
The museum’s Hall of Fame recognizes individuals or groups who have made a long term positive impact on the motorcycle community. The Hall of Fame honors motorcycle legends, celebrities and others who have contributed to the sport and the lifestyle. A new class of inductees is honored each year at an induction breakfast held the Wednesday morning of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally – yet another event you can add to your itinerary for this summer’s Rally. Over the years, the Hall of Fame has honored well over 100 individuals and groups for their contributions.
Open year round, seven days a week, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame also offers memberships. Visit www.sturgismuseum.com for additional information.
